That the Board of Supervisors authorize the use of Public Works - Roads equipment in the annual Truckers’ Parade.

DISCUSSION:
Each year the annual Truckers’ Parade in December is a large community event supported by both the private and public sectors. This event will be held on Saturday December 8 in Eureka. County Public Works employees are requesting approval to enter county-owned equipment numbers 45499 and 21616, in the annual Truckers’ Parade. Employees will volunteer their time to decorate and drive the county equipment in the parade and pay all entry fees. The employees feel this will be beneficial to the parade attendees as well as beneficial to the morale of the employees. In 2017 the entry placed first in the parade.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
No county funding, all costs will be borne by volunteers from the Humboldt County Public Works Department.
