DISCUSSION:
In 2015, the County of Humboldt accepted a dedication of an unimproved parcel, which is referred to as Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 508-401-066 (See Attachment 2), from subdivider Central Estates Remainder, LLC. (See Attachment 3) This dedication was irrevocably offered in fee to the county for drainage facilities, public trails and access thereto, and public purposes with the right to convey this parcel to the McKinleyville Community Services District (MCSD) or its successor. The subdivider of the Central Estates subdivision is in the process of conveying the open space/detention parcels to McKinleyville Community Services District. One of the Open Space parcels was conveyed to the county and now needs to be transferred to MCSD; the other parcel is still owned by the developer and will be conveyed to MCSD directly by the subdivider. On March 8, 2018, MCSD accepted an offer from the Humboldt County Department of Public Works to take ownership of APN 508-401-066. (See Attachment 4). MCSD has indicated that they are willing to accept both parcels.
