That the Board of Supervisors send a letter to the California Department of Justice, Bureau of Forensic Services requesting continued highest priority in analyzing forensic evidence in the David Josiah Lawson case.

DISCUSSION:

The tragic death of a Humboldt State University student, David Josiah Lawson continues to have significant impacts throughout Humboldt County the longer the case goes unsolved.  The Board of Supervisors has been asked to send a letter to the California Department of Justice, Bureau of Forensic Services requesting that new evidence in the case continue to be given highest priority in the forensic lab.
