RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors Approve, and authorize the Chair of the Board to execute, the attached second amendment to the professional services agreement with Alcohol Drug Care Services, Inc. regarding the provision of residential alcohol and drug treatment and counseling services for the period of July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2019; and direct the Clerk of the Board to return two (2) fully executed original copies of the attached second amendment to the Department of Health and Human Services - Contract Unit for further processing.

DISCUSSION:
On June 28, 2016 (item C-15), the Board approved the professional services agreement with Alcohol Drug Care Services, Inc. ("ADCS") regarding the provision of residential alcohol and drug treatment and counseling services. The Board subsequently approved the first amendment to the professional services agreement with ADCS, in order to ensure compliance with State Standard Agreement No. 14-90058 between the County of Humboldt and the California Department of Health Care Services ("DHCS"), on August 15, 2017.

The attached second amendment to the professional services agreement with ADCS will increase the current rate of compensation from Sixty-Nine Dollars ($69.00) per day for residential treatment services and One Hundred Six Dollars ($106.00) per day for residential detoxification services to One Hundred Twenty-Five Dollars ($125.00) and One Hundred Seventy-Five ($175.00), respectively, in order to cover the operating costs associated with providing residential alcohol and drug treatment and counseling services at ADCS' Waterfront Recovery Services facility, which opened o...
