RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors approve the employment of Norma Lorenzo as a temporary retired annuitant Deputy Director - Sheriff’s Administration (class 0438, salary range 493, step E) with the Sheriff's Office, as necessary to fill a critically needed position and that Ms. Lorenzo's employment as a temporary retired annuitant is needed before the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) 180-day wait period has expired; adopt Resolution No._____ (Attachment 1) for an exception to the 180-day wait period; and approve an overlap for the position of Deputy Director Sheriff’s Administration (class 0438, salary range 493, step E) with the incumbent employee for a period of two (2) pay periods, pursuant to Section 7 of the Humboldt County Salary Resolution (4/5 vote required).
