Consolidation of the Unincorporated Garberville, Holmes/Redcrest, Fortuna/Ferndale and Weott/Myers Flat Solid Waste Collection Franchise Areas
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors open the public hearing and receive comments on the proposed consolidation, service standardization and rate adjustments for solid waste collections for the unincorporated Garberville, Holmes/Redcrest, Fortuna/Ferndale and Weott/Myers Flat areas of Humboldt County; close the public hearing; approve, and authorize the Chair of the Board to execute, the attached ninth amendment to the amended and restated solid waste collection franchise agreement for the unincorporated Garberville, Holmes/Redcrest, Fortuna/Ferndale and Weott/Myers Flat area of Humboldt County ("South County Franchise Agreement") with Recology Humboldt County; approve, and authorize the Chair of the Board to execute, the attached ninth amendment to the solid waste collection franchise agreement for the unincorporated Holmes and Redcrest area of Humboldt County (“H/R Franchise Agreement") with Recology Humboldt County; approve, and authorize the Chair of the Board to execute, the attached ninth amendment to the solid waste collection franchise agreement for the unincorporated Weott and Myers Flat areas of Humboldt County ('"W/MF Franchise Agreement") with Recology Humboldt County; and direct the Clerk of the Board to return two (2) fully executed copies of each amendment attached hereto to the Department of Public Works for further processing.
