First Amendment to, and Assignment of, the Solid Waste Collection Franchise Agreement for the Willow Creek Area of Humboldt County
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors open a public hearing and receive the staff report and public comments on the proposed First Amendment to the Solid Waste Collection Franchise Agreement for the Willow Creek Area of Humboldt County ("Franchise Agreement") with Eel River Disposal and Resource Recovery, Inc. ("ERD"); close public hearing; approve and authorize the Chair to execute the First Amendment to the Franchise Agreement; direct the Clerk of the Board to return two fully-executed originals of the First Amendment to the Franchise Agreement to the Department of Public Works for distribution; approve and authorize the Chair to execute the Assignment of the Franchise Agreement to Joshua and Lisa McKnight DBA Tom's Trash ("Assignment and Assumption Agreement"); direct the Clerk of the Board to return two fully-executed originals of the Assignment and Assumption Agreement to the Department of Public Works for distribution; consider ERD's request to waive all costs associated with the County's preparation and review of the Assignment and Assumption Agreement.
