That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Approve an Amendment to extend the Agreement with the Humboldt County Convention and Visitors Bureau for two years and authorize the Chair to sign the agreement.

DISCUSSION:
On June 4, 2019, your Board approved a two-year extension to the agreement with the Humboldt County Convention and Visitors Bureau (HCCVB). This will be the second amendment to the original agreement. The original agreement, dated July 5, 2016 and Amendment 1, dated July 18, 2018, are attached as Attachments 2 and 3, respectively. The attached Second Amendment to the Agreement with Humboldt County Convention and Visitors (Attachment 1) will extend the agreement originally scheduled to terminate on June 30, 2019 through June 30, 2021.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The proposed agreement is for a sum equal to 18% of Transient Occupancy Tax received by the county in the fiscal year ending 12 months prior to the beginning of the fiscal year in which payment is made by the county. In Fiscal Year (FY) 2019-20 that amount is $352,209, and has been included in the FY 2019-20 Proposed Budget.
