DISCUSSION:
The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors is sending a letter to the Humboldt Trinity Recreation Alliance in support of its efforts to develop the Trinity Resilience Center, a permanent, year-round resource serving Southern Trinity and Eastern Humboldt Counties.
The Trinity Resilience Center would strengthen community preparedness and emergency response by providing disaster relief, clean-air sheltering, backup power and communications, emergency supplies and support for residents, pets and livestock during wildfires, extreme weather, power outages and other emergencies.
The Board recognizes the importance of regional collaboration and supports the Humboldt Trinity Alliance’s continued planning, partnerships and pursuit of funding to make the center a reality.
