DISCUSSION:
November 1 through November 7, 2023 is Supplemental Nutrition Assistant Program (SNAP) in Humboldt County. This year a group of Humboldt County residents is organizing a weeklong SNAP Challenge to highlight how difficult it is for families who rely on CalFresh benefits to avoid hunger, afford nutritious food and stay healthy on limited resources. Community members interested in participating can get more information by looking up “SNAP Challenge” online.
