DISCUSSION:
The Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) Interconnection Agreement (IA) is a requirement for the County of Humboldt to enter into to connect the proposed new electrical infrastructure into PG&E's Power Grid. This agreement allows the Customer (the County of Humboldt) to connect a Generating Facility (the Solar Array-Microgrid Infrastructure) to offset part or all of the Customer's electrical requirements. The Solar Array-Microgrid System will offset a portion of the power consumed by the ACV Terminal, Airfield Electrical Infrastructure, and the Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) Facility at the California Redwood Coast-Humboldt County Airport (ACV). The attached letter provided by the Humboldt State University (HSU)-Schatz Energy Research Center (SERC) verifies that the proposed Generating Facility will meet the technical requirements of PG&E identified throughout the IA. For reference, SERC is serving as the electrical engineer for the Redwood Coast Energy Authority (RCEA). RCEA will be the owner-operator of the proposed Generating Facility.
