DISCUSSION:

The Board of Supervisors would like to recognize Eric Terkelsen, who was recently selected to participate in an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C.

Terkelsen served 26 years in the United States Army, including a tour in Vietnam, and retired at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Being chosen for an Honor Flight is a highly esteemed recognition. This Honor Flight will provide Terkelsen with the opportunity to visit memorials dedicated to those who served this country and be recognized for his years of service and sacrifice.

Terkelsen’s commitment to service did not end when he retired from the Army. He continues to serve through the American Legion in Ferndale and has spent his life giving back to the community in numerous other ways. Service to his country, his community and his family has truly been a consistent part of who he is throughout his life.
