RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Adopt the resolution (Attachment 1) which does the following:
a. Finds that the proposed amendments to the Inland and Coastal Short-term rental ordinances are exempt from environmental review; and
b. Finds that the proposed ordinance amendment complies with the General Plan, Local Coastal Program and Zoning Ordinance; and
c. Adopts the amendments to the Short-Term rental ordinance for both the inland and the coastal zone.

DISCUSSION:
Executive Summary:
The Board is being asked to approve three amendments to the inland short-term rental ordinance and two amendments to the coastal version. These are simple amendments that address unintended consequences of the existing ordinance. The Planning Commission reviewed the amendments at their meeting of Feb. 6, 2025, and voted 5-0 to recommend adoption by the Board of Supervisors without making any changes to the ordinance amendments presented by staff.
Discussion:
