RECOMMENDATION(S):Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Adopt the attached resolution which rescinds Resolution No. 24-107 and amends the County of Humboldt’s current Conflict of Interest Code; and
2. Direct the Clerk of the Board to Provide the County Counsel’s Office with one (1) fully executed certified copy of the attached resolution.

DISCUSSION:
The California Political Reform Act requires that the County of Humboldt’s Conflict of Interest Code be reviewed every two (2) years. The Humboldt County Conflict of Interest Code requires an amendment to incorporate minor modifications required by law. The Board’s adoption of the attached resolution will incorporate the amendments to the Political Reform Act into the Humboldt County Conflict of Interest Code. The modification to Appendix B fulfills this legal requirement as well. Any positions or committees that have been deleted are stricken and any additions have been underlined.

None

FINANCIAL IMPACT:
There are no direct costs associated with amending the County of Humboldt’s current Conflict of Interest Code.

STAFFING IMPACT:
The recommended actions will not impact current staffing levels.

OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
None

ALTERNATIVES TO STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS:
