RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Modify the current Board meeting schedule to have a meeting on March 19, 2024 and cancel the meeting of May 14, 2024; and
2. Direct the Clerk of the Board to notify all county departments of this modification to the Board meeting schedule for calendar year 2024.

DISCUSSION:
Staff recommended cancelling the meeting of March 19, 2024, so that the Board could attend the Pacific Offshore Wind Summit. That conference will take place the week of May 13, 2024. Accordingly, staff recommends that your Board have a meeting on March 19, 2024 and cancel the meeting of May 14, 2024 to allow Board members to attend this conference.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
There are no direct costs associated with the proposed modification to the Board meeting schedule for calendar year 2024. As a result, the recommended action will not impact the Humboldt County General Fund.
