That the Board of Supervisors:

1.                     Authorize the Chair to sign the letter of support.

Strategic Plan Category:  5004 - Preserve agricultural and timber land

 

DISCUSSION:

The Board of Supervisors would like to send a letter of support for the Bureau of Land Management to proceed with the acquisition of the Cooskie Mountain property located just east of the King Range National Conservation Area (NCA) and the King Range Wilderness Area. This effort would support efforts that prioritize conservation, responsible land management and public access to our treasured landscapes.

General Fund

There is no financial impact to sending a letter of support.

There are no staffing impacts associated with this agenda item.
