DISCUSSION:
The Arcata Fire District (AFD) has a ballot measure slated for the November 2020 election, and if passed, would allow much needed funding to keep the McKinleyville fire station open and fully staffed. AFD is requesting support for their ballot measure from the Board of Supervisors in the hope of increasing community awareness and educating the public about the importance of this funding measure.
