DISCUSSION:
Humboldt County Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Social Services Branch has requested the Board of Supervisors recognize Elder Abuse Awareness Month with a proclamation.
Elders deserve respect and gratitude for their life-long contributions and the roles they play in their families and communities, including the preservation of customs and traditions. DHHS Social Services Branch encourages all citizens to recognize that elders are valuable members of society and have the right to live safely and securely in their communities.
