RECOMMENDATION(S):

Recommendation

That the Board of Supervisors:

1.                     Hear the brief presentation from the spoke person from the Humboldt County Fish and Game Advisory Committee.

2.                     Discuss the funding options for installing and maintaining a fish cleaning stations.

3.                     Take appropriate action as needed.

DISCUSSION:

The Humboldt County Fish & Game Advisory Commission is requesting that the Board of Supervisors discuss the concept of installing and maintaining a fish cleaning station or facility at the “Jimmy Smith” Fields Landing boat launch property. This would not only benefit local fishermen but tourists as well.

 

SOURCE OF FUNDING: 

The California State Department of Boating and Waterways has funding available to government agencies wishing to install these types of facilities.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

There is no financial impact from discussion of this item.
