DISCUSSION:
The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors will recognize September as Suicide Prevention Awareness Month and Sept. 8 as Community Safety Day in Humboldt County.
This proclamation raises awareness of suicide prevention, highlights local and national resources available to individuals experiencing a mental health or emotional crisis and recognizes the collaborative efforts of the Humboldt County Suicide Prevention Network and community partners to promote hope, connection and culturally-responsive suicide prevention efforts throughout Humboldt County.
