Bid Authorization and First Amendment to the Architectural Services Agreement for the Juvenile Hall Replacement Facility Construction Project, Project Number 170212
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors receive the plans and specifications pertaining to the Juvenile Hall Replacement Facility Construction Project, Project Number 170212 ("Juvenile Hall Replacement Project"); authorize the Clerk of the Board, upon the Director of Public Works obtaining State approval to Proceed to Bid, to advertise the Juvenile Hall Replacement Project, pursuant to Section 22037 of the California Public Contract Code, on June 7, 2016 with bids to be opened on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 2:00 PM; approve the attached first amendment to the architectural services agreement, between the County and Nichols, Melburg & Rossetto Architects, which reduces the Bid Overage Margin for the Juvenile Hall Replacement Project from 10 percent (10%) to five percent (5%); authorize the Chair of the Board to execute four (4) original copies of the attached first amendment to the Architectural Services Agreement; and direct the Clerk of the Board to return three (3) executed copies of the attached first amendment to the Department of Public Works for further processing.
