DISCUSSION:
The Alzheimer’s Association requested the Board of Supervisors recognize June 2022, as Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month in Humboldt County, to educate our citizens about the disease and the need to accelerate research to develop disease-altering treatments more quickly. The Alzheimer’s Association encourages residents to participate in “The Longest Day” on June 21 by wearing purple or supporting a local fundraiser.
