RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Accept the work of American Road Maintenance as substantially complete for the Murray Field Airport (EKA) Rehabilitation of Runway 12/30 AND Taxiway A Project No: AV-2024-01; and
2. Authorize the Interim Director of Aviation, or a designee thereof, to execute the attached Notice of Completion for Murray Field Airport (EKA) Rehabilitation of Runway 12/30 AND Taxiway A Project.

DISCUSSION:
On April 9, 2024, the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors ("Board") approved the bid authorization for Murray Field Airport Runway 12/30 and Taxiway A Rehabilitation Project. The Project consisted of crack sealing/repairing, applying a surface treatment and remarking Runway 12/30, Taxiway A and the associated connector taxiways at the Murray Field Airport. In addition, there was a major crack on Runway 12/30 that was repaired as part of the project.
On Sept. 9, 2025, your Board authorized the acceptance of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act Airport Infrastructure Grant Agreement No. 3-06-0072-021-2025 for the Murray Field Airport (EKA) Rehabilitation of Runway 12/30 and Taxiway A Project in the amount of $734,207 with a 5% cost share of $51,903 and awarded the project to American Road Maintenance for the contractual amount $684,850.
