DISCUSSION:
Each year, dedicated residents of Humboldt County volunteer their time to serve on the Civil Grand Jury, performing an essential role in promoting transparency, accountability and integrity in local government. In recognition of their service, February is observed statewide as Civil Grand Jury Awareness Month. Adoption of this proclamation provides an opportunity for the Board of Supervisors to formally acknowledge the vital contributions of these volunteers and to encourage continued civic participation.
