RECOMMENDATION(S):

Recommendation

That the Board of Supervisors:

1.                     Adopt the Resolution (Attachment 1) approving the amendment of the Comprehensive Compensation Schedule and Classification Summary effective April 3, 2022 (Attachment 2).

DISCUSSION:

On March 8, 2022, your Board of Supervisors approved a 12%, or 24 range salary increase for Supervising Correctional Deputy (Class 0420, Salary Range 474), to be effective the first full pay period in April 2022. To make this increase effective, the amended Salary Schedule must be adopted to be effective April 3, 2022.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

This approved change increases the Supervising Correctional Deputy step E from $36.54/hour to $41.18/hour. This is an increase of $4.64/hour or $9,651/annually per position. The Correctional Facility has 7 Supervising Correctional Deputies for a total of $67,557/annual base salary increase for this request. These positions are funded by the Sheriff’s Office - Correctional Facility (1100-243).
