That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Reappoint Steven Loreus, Cyndy Day-Wilson, and Dustin Owens to the Law Library Board of Trustees for the 2026 calendar year.

DISCUSSION:
The Humboldt County Law Library Board of Trustees has three at-large seats that are appointed by the Board of Supervisors. One seat is ex-officio, typically filled by the Chair of the Board of Supervisors or appointed by the Board, and two appointments are of local attorneys. Per the approved Board of Supervisors Protocol, appointments to the Law Library Board of Trustees are listed on Attachment B as an exemption to the at-large appointment process.
On Dec. 22, 2025, the Clerk of the Board was notified that the Humboldt County Law Library of Trustees would like to reappoint Steven Loreus, Cyndy Day-Wilson and Dustin Owens to the Law Library Board of Trustees for the 2026 calendar year (Attachment 1). These members have all requested to continue to serve. Their terms would end on Dec. 31, 2026.
