RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Approve, and authorize the Chair of the Board to execute, the attached grant agreement with California CareForce regarding the provision of accessible, low-barrier medical services in Humboldt County in an amount not to exceed $10,000 for the period of July 12, 2024 through July 13, 2024;
2. Authorize the Department of Health and Human Services Director, or a designee thereof, to execute any and all subsequent amendments to the attached grant agreement with California CareForce, after review and approval by County Counsel, Risk Management and the County Administrative Office; and
3. Direct the Clerk of the Board to return one fully executed original copy of the attached grant agreement with California CareForce to the Department of Health and Human Services - Contract Unit for further processing.

California CareForce is a group of volunteer healthcare professionals, community leaders and engaged citizens who promote the health and well-being of those in need through volunteer supported, free healthcare clinics throughout California. California CareForce came before your Board on Feb. 27, 2024, to discuss the 2-day clinic being offered to Humboldt residents on July 12 and 13, 2024.
