DISCUSSION:
Supervisor Arroyo is announcing the appointment of Jerome Qiriazi to the Humboldt County Planning Commission representing the fourth district. Jerome will serve the remainder of the term with an end date of Jan. 31, 2027.
All appointed members will be required to comply with the California Fair Political Practices Form 700 requirements as well as completing AB1234 Ethics training every two years.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Pursuant to County Code, Chapter2, Section 312-1, planning commissioners receive per diem of $140 per meeting (up to 10 meetings per month), and are allowed the same travel expenses as other county officers and employees. There is minimal financial impact to the appointment of a commission member as their related costs have been budgeted in the Planning & Building Department’s budget.
