DISCUSSION:
The Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) helps older adults remain in their homes by providing coordinated medical and social services, including health care, rehabilitation, transportation and meals. September is recognized nationally as PACE Month, honoring the program's role in supporting seniors, reducing hospitalizations and assisting caregivers.

In Humboldt County, PACE services are especially valuable for rural and underserved communities. Proclaiming September as National PACE Month affirms the county's commitment to the health, independence and quality of life of older adults.
