DISCUSSION:
The Board of Supervisors would like to recognize the Humboldt County Farm Bureau (HCFB) for their continuous and generous support of local students through their scholarship program. This year the Farm Bureau has awarded $106,000 in scholarships to local high school graduates and continuing college students. HCFB offers a total of 9 scholarship opportunities to help local youth meet their educational goals and pursue careers in Agriculture, Science, Teaching, Production Forestry or Natural Resources, and trade school professions. On Monday, June 5th, the HCFB held a scholarship social to congratulate the scholarship recipients and their families on their awards and futures.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
There is no financial impact to issuing a Certificate of Recognition.
