RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors approve the attached request for budget transfer/adjustment in the amount of $41,210 to replace flooring for the correctional facility.

DISCUSSION:
The correctional facility has identified that flooring located in the jail processing and adjacent areas is in need of replacement. The Public Works Department is consulting on this project. The requested amount covers the cost of replacement and the estimated Public Works administrative costs.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
There is no impact to the General Fund. The request, if granted, will transfer $41,210 from the Maintenance-Structure line item 1100243-2113 to the Fixed Asset Improvements line item 1100243-8186.
The requested action conforms to the Board of Supervisor’s core role of providing for and maintaining infrastructure.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
None.
ALTERNATIVES TO STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS:
The Board could choose not to approve the request for budget transfer/adjustment. This is not recommended because the flooring in the correctional facility needs to be replaced.
