RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Approve, and authorize the Chair of the Board to execute, the attached first amendment to the professional services agreement with Alcohol Drug Care Services, Inc. regarding the provision of residential alcohol and drug treatment and detoxification services for the period of October 27, 2015 through June 30, 2020; and
2. Direct the Clerk of the Board to return two (2) fully executed original copies of the attached first amendment to the Department of Health and Human Services - Contract Unit for further processing.

DISCUSSION:
On October 27, 2015 (Item C-10), the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors approved a professional services agreement with Alcohol Drug Care Services, Inc. ("ADCS") regarding the provision of residential alcohol and drug treatment and detoxification services. The attached first amendment to the professional services agreement with ADCS will increase the current rate of compensation from Fifty-Five Dollars ($55.00) per day for residential treatment services and Eighty-Two Dollars ($82.00) per day for residential detoxification services to One Hundred Twenty-Five Dollars ($125.00) and One Hundred Seventy-Five ($175.00), respectively, in order to cover the operating costs associated with providing residential alcohol and drug treatment and detoxification services at ADCS' Waterfront Recovery Services facility, which opened on November 1, 2017.
