DISCUSSION:

At the Dec. 16, 2025, Board of Supervisors meeting, the Board was informed of a scheduled at-large vacancy on the Humboldt County Planning Commission due to the term expiration of Lorna McFarlane. The vacancy was posted, and applications were received from only Lorna McFarlane who would like to continue serving.

The appointee will serve a four-year term, expiring on Jan. 31, 2030. All appointed members of the Humboldt County Planning Commission are required to comply with the California Fair Political Practices Form 700 requirements and complete AB1234 ethics training every two years.
