That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Adopt Ordinance No. ____, adding Division 10 to Title V of the Humboldt County Code Relating to the Prohibition of the Storage and Handling of Coal and Petroleum Coke on County-Owned Property.

DISCUSSION:
On Feb. 1, 2022, your Board introduced the above-referenced ordinance for adoption with a directive to the Clerk of the Board to publish a pre-adoption summary of the ordinance and set the ordinance for adoption on Feb. 8, 2022. The recommended action will complete adoption of the ordinance and result in publication of a post-adoption summary.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Staff time in preparation of this ordinance comes from the General Fund.

This action supports your Board's Strategic Framework by creating opportunities for improved safety and health and protecting vulnerable populations.
