That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Adopt Ordinance No. _____, Amending Sections 421-1 through 421-7, Relating to Stop Signs in the Eureka, Shelter Cove, Redway and Garberville Areas of Chapter 1 of Division 2 of Title IV of the Humboldt County Code.

DISCUSSION:
On June 16, 2020, the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors introduced the above-referenced ordinance for adoption with a directive to the Clerk of the Board to publish a pre-adoption summary of the ordinance and set the ordinance for adoption on June 23, 2020. The recommended action will complete adoption of the ordinance and result in publication of a post-adoption summary.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Adoption of the above-referenced ordinance will have minimal impact associated with staff time to
implement. There is no impact to the Humboldt County General Fund.
STRATEGIC FRAMEWORK:
This action supports your Board’s Strategic Framework by providing for and maintaining infrastructure.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
California Highway Patrol
ALTERNATIVES TO STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS:
The Board may choose not to adopt the attached ordinance. However, this alternative is not recommended since it would not improve traffic safety in the relevant locations.
