Ultimately, the Board directed staff to proceed with Option 1, preserving the original program and design of the building, and authorizing additional funding in the amount of Three Million Five Hundred Seventy-Two Thousand Seven Hundred Eighteen Dollars ($3,572,718.00) in accordance with the most recent project cost estimate. Combined with the original project budget of Three Million Eighty-Seven Thousand Three Hundred Twenty-Five Dollars ($3,087,325.00), the approved project budget was increased to Six Million Six Hundred Sixty Thousand Forty-Three Dollars ($6,660,043.00).
