RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Receive and file the bid proposals submitted for the Alderpoint Road (F6B165) Post Miles 40.21-40.70 Storm Damage Repair Project;
2. Award the attached project agreement to Wahlund Construction, Inc. for the total amount of One Million Four Hundred Seventeen Thousand Five Hundred Thirteen Dollars and Ninety Cents ($1,417,513.90);
3. Authorize the Chair of the Board to execute the attached project agreement upon submittal of the appropriate bonds and insurance; and
4. Authorize the Public Works Director to execute contract change orders up to the amount of Eighty-Three Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-Five Dollars ($83,375).

DISCUSSION:
On June 22, 2021, the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors authorized the Clerk of the Board to advertise the Alderpoint Road (F6B165) Post Miles 40.21-40.70 Storm Damage Repair Project for bids. On July 27, 2021, the County of Humboldt received five (5) bids for the project, which are attached hereto as Attachment 1.
The Department of Public Works recommends that the Board of Supervisors: receive and file the bid proposals submitted for the Alderpoint Road (F6B165) Post Miles 40.21-40.70 Storm Damage Repair Project; award the attached project agreement to Wahlund Construction, Inc. for the total amount of One Million Four Hundred Seventeen Thousand Five Hundred Thirteen Dollars and Ninety Cents ($1,417,513.90); authorize the Chair of the Board to execute the attached project agreement upon submittal of the appropriate bonds and insurance; and authorize the Public Works Director to execute contract change orders up to the amount of Eighty-Three Thousand Three Hundred...
