RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Authorize the Chair to sign Resolution No. ______, the Governing Body Resolution (Attachment 1) for the Emergency Management Performance Grant - Supplemental (EMPG-S), Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG), and Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP) and direct the Clerk of the Board to certify;
2. Authorize the Sheriff, Undersheriff, and Deputy Director of Sheriff's Administration to execute for and on behalf of the named applicant, a public entity established under the laws of the State of California, any actions necessary for the purpose of obtaining EMPG-S, EMPG, or HSGP funding provided by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and sub-granted through the State of California;
3. Direct the Clerk of the Board to return three (3) signed and certified copies, of the above-named resolution, to the Sheriff's Office of Emergency Services, Attn: Katie Collender, for immediate submission to the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services; and
4. Approve the supplemental budget request for budget unit 1100-221850 EMPG (Attachment 2). (4/5 vote required)
5. Approve the supplemental budget request for budget unit 1100-221859 EMPG-S (Attachment 3). (4/5 vote required)
