RECOMMENDATION(S):

Recommendation

That the Board of Supervisors:

 

1.                     Declare the following six (6) pieces of equipment surplus: 91007, 91008, 91010, 91011, 91013, and 91015; and

2.                     Authorize the Purchasing Agent to sell the surplus equipment and deposit the revenue from the sale into the appropriate revenue account (3540330-705020); and

3.                     Direct the Purchasing Agent to notify the Auditor-Controller upon successful sale of the assets.

The following rock processing equipment has been replaced and are no longer in use.

Equipment # 91008 1976 Telesmith Cone Crusher

Equipment # 91010 1975 Kolman Conveyor

Equipment # 91011 1985 Shop Made Conveyor

Equipment # 91013 1991 Custom Made Conveyor

Equipment # 91015 2001 Shop Made Conveyor

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

Narrative Explanation of Financial Impact:

The amount of revenue generated from the sale of surplus equipment is unknown at this time. Any proceeds received from the sale will be deposited into the Public Works Roads Heavy Equipment budget (3540330-705020).

 

STAFFING IMPACT:

Narrative Explanation of Staffing Impact:

There will be no impact to staffing.

None

 

ALTERNATIVES TO STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS:

Board Discretion. The sale of equipment could be postponed. Due to size of equipment and limited storage area it is not recommended.
