RECOMMENDATION(S):Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Approve and authorize the Humboldt County Public Works Director, or a designee thereof, to execute the attached third amendment to the purchase agreement for the real property located at 4325 Broadway Street, Eureka, California Assessor Parcel Number 302-171-039; and
2. Authorize the Humboldt County Public Works Director, or a designee thereof, to execute any and all subsequent amendments to the purchase agreement for the real property located at 4325 Broadway Street, Eureka, California (Assessor Parcel Number 302-171-039), after review and approval by County Counsel, Risk Management and the County Administrative Office; and
3. Direct the Clerk of the Board to provide the Department of Public Works – Real Property with one (1) fully executed certified copy of the Board order related to this item.

DISCUSSION:
On June 9, 2026, the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors authorized the Humboldt County Public Works Director, and designees thereof, to enter into a purchase agreement for the real property located at 4325 Broadway Street, Eureka, California (Assessor Parcel Number 302-171-039).
Escrow closing has been delayed twice due to the contingency set forth in Section 2.1(m) of the purchase agreement not being satisfied contingent to buyers’ obligations.
