1. Authorize the Chair of the Board to sign the attached proclamation.

DISCUSSION:
The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors (“Board”) would like to recognize Veterans Day with a proclamation honoring those who have served in the military. As part of this proclamation, the County of Humboldt will recognize Operation Green Light for Veterans by changing lights on County of Humboldt buildings to green bulbs to let veterans know they are seen, appreciated and supported. The Board further recognizes the Department of Health and Human Services - Veterans Service Office and thanks the staff there for all the work and support they provide to many veterans in Humboldt County.
SOURCE OF FUNDING:
General Fund
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
There are no direct costs associated with adopting the attached proclamation. As a result, the recommended action will not impact the Humboldt County General Fund.
STAFFING IMPACT:
Adopting the attached proclamation will not impact current staffing levels. Staff in the Department of Health and Human Services - Veterans Services Office are conducting outreach during this week, however, costs for that work has been included in the adopted budget.
