Recommendation

That the Board of Supervisors:

1.                     Receive a report from Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) - Public Health regarding the current status of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Humboldt County.

DISCUSSION:

On March 17, 2020, your Board received an update from DHHS regarding the then-current status of COVID-19 pandemic in Humboldt County, and ratified a resolution declaring the existence of a local emergency related to the virus.

 

Since then, DHHS - Public Health and other county staff have provided biweekly updates surrounding COVID-19 data and related activities your Board and the community. Moving forward, DHHS - Public Health will provide updates to your Board and the community via a Departmental Report on a monthly basis, with written reports provided biweekly.
