RECOMMENDATION(S):

Recommendation

That the Board of Supervisors:

1.                     Reappoint John Vevoda and Martha Spencer to the Williamson Act Advisory Committee for a two-year term; and

2.                     Receive and file the report.

DISCUSSION:

The purpose of the Humboldt County Williamson Act Advisory Committee is to provide input into the process of implementing and administering the Williamson Act in Humboldt County and to inform and make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors, when appropriate.

 

The Clerk of the Board’s office received notice of two upcoming term expirations on the Humboldt County Williamson Advisory Committee, effective June 30, 2025. In response, Supervisor Bohn is announcing the reappointment of John Vevoda and Supervisor Wilson is announcing the reappointment of Martha Spencer. Both will serve an additional two-year term, ending on June 30, 2027.

 

All appointed members of the Williamson Act Advisory Committee will be required to comply with California Fair Political Practices Form 700 requirements as well as completing AB1234 Ethics Training every two years.

There is no financial impact to making reappointments to the Commission.

There is no staffing impact to this item.
