RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Receive and file the bid proposals submitted for the Garberville Veterans Hall Demolition Project;
2. Award the project agreement to Unlimited Environmental, Inc., for the total amount of One Hundred Sixty-One Thousand Five Hundred Twenty-Five Dollars ($161,525.00);
3. Authorize the Chair of the Board to execute the project agreement upon submittal of the appropriate bonds and insurance;
4. Authorize the Public Works Director to execute contract change orders up to the amount of Sixteen Thousand One Hundred Fifty-Two Dollars and Fifty Cents ($16,152.50); and
5. Receive a report on the conceptual design process for the new Garberville Veterans Hall.

DISCUSSION:
On August 23, 2022, the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors approved and authorized the Clerk of the Board to advertise the Garberville Veterans Hall Demolition Project for bids. On September 13, 2022, the County of Humboldt received five (5) bids for the project.

The Humboldt County Department of Public Works ("Public Works") recommends that the Board of Supervisors: receive and file the bid proposals submitted for the Garberville Veterans Hall Demolition Project; award the attached project agreement to Unlimited Environmental, Inc., for the total amount of One Hundred Sixty-One Thousand Five Hundred Twenty-Five Dollars ($161,525.00); authorize the Chair of the Board to execute the attached project agreement upon submittal of the appropriate bonds and insurance; and authorize the Public Works Director to execute contract change orders up to the amount of Sixteen Thousand One Hundred Fifty-Two Dollars and Fifty Cents ($16,152.50).
