RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Approve Operating Budget for the Humboldt County Fair with the 2021 fair;
2. Approve Operating Budget for the Humboldt County Fair without the 2021 fair;
3. Authorize the Chair and the Clerk of the Board to sign both approved budgets; and
4. Return a fully executed copy of the budgets to the Humboldt County Fair Association.

DISCUSSION:
Each year the Humboldt County Fair Association Board passes an operating budget and submits that approved budget to the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors for approval and signature by the Board Chair and Clerk of the Board. The Humboldt County Fair Association Board approved two separate 2021 Operating Budget on December 28, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, one budget includes the 2021 fair and the other does not as there is no way of knowing if the fair will take place this calendar year. The Humboldt County Fair Association Board is requesting the Boards approval of both budgets.
