DISCUSSION:

The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors would like to recognize the National Breast Cancer Foundation of Frisco, Texas for their support and help for the women of Humboldt County facing breast health issues by presenting them a Certificate of Appreciation.  Since 2010, the National Breast Cancer Foundation has provided over $733,645 in grants and support for mammograms, breast health diagnosis, treatment, and emotional support through the Patient Navigator program.  These dollars have been distributed to Mad River Community Hospital and the Breast and Gyn Health Project of Arcata and have helped over 5,000 women in our community.  

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

There is no financial impact when awarding a certificate of appreciation.
