DISCUSSION:

Peer Support Week recognizes the valuable contributions of peer support specialists who use their lived experience to assist individuals navigating mental health and substance use challenges. Their work promotes recovery, reduces stigma and strengthens connections to services and community support throughout Humboldt County.

 

Therefore, the Board of Supervisors would like to proclaim the third week of May 2026 as Peer Support Appreciation Week and express appreciation for the dedication and positive impact of peer support professionals in Humboldt County.
