RECOMMENDATION(S):
Recommendation
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Approve the attached appropriation transfer for Aviation budget 3530-381 in the amount of $144,000 in Fiscal Year (FY) 2025-26 and establish the fixed asset to purchase and install four electric vehicle (EV) chargers to be installed in the California Redwood Coast - Humboldt County Airport (ACV) parking lot (4/5 Vote Required).

DISCUSSION:
In June 2020, the Department of Aviation was awarded a Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES) Act Airport Grant in the amount of $16,974,092. In March 2022, a presentation was brought before your Board outlining the timeline and implementation plan of the recommended projects and associated costs. One of the U.S Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) improvement projects outlined during that presentation was the rehabilitation of the ACV north and south parking lots.

On May 16, 2023, your Board approved the bid authorization for the ACV Parking Lot Rehabilitation Project and found that the project was exempt from environmental review pursuant to Section 15301 of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines.
