That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Consider making the three at-large appointments to the Humboldt County Forestry Review Committee.

DISCUSSION:
At the June 2, 2026, Board of Supervisors meeting, the Board was informed of three scheduled at-large positions on the Humboldt County Forestry Review committee due to the term expirations for Yana Valachovic, Gary Rynearson and Elicia Goldsworthy.
The vacancy was posted, and applications were received and attached. The Clerk of the Board reached out to all other current applicants to be considered. Applications attached are for Russell Dorvall, Elicia Goldsworthy and Yana Valachovic.
Appointees will serve a four-year term, expiring on June 30, 2030.
All appointments of the Humboldt County Forestry Review Committee are required to comply with the California Fair Political Practices Form 700 requirements and complete AB1234 ethics training every two years.

There is no financial impact associated with making appointments to the Humboldt County Forestry Review Committee.
