DISCUSSION:
The Board of Supervisors would like to recognize October 2023 as Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Humboldt County. Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer among women and is an epidemic. Awareness is the first step to research and improvement in finding treatments and hopefully, someday, a cure.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
There is no financial impact to adopting a ceremonial proclamation.
